On 29 to 31 May 2002, the meeting of Taekwon-Do will be held at Koryo Hotel in Pyongyang between North and South. North Korea Taekwon-Do Committee (Chairman Bong Yong Hwang) will hold a meeting to grope for a cooperative way and plan with South Korea delegation of Taekwondo academic exchange.
The meeting will be a first dialogue of Taekwon-Do between North and South after Korea was interrupted. It is very important to return same name and root but different systems. Through this visiting, both sides will try to find out a way to produce a friendly atmosphere for unification of Taekwon-Do between North and South and promote Taekwon-Do in the world in order to encourage a reconciliatory atmosphere and peace between North and South.
On 28 May, South Korea delegation will visit North Korea. Professor of Chong Cheong College, Director of North and South Taekwondo Research Institute, Mr. O No Kyun said that the delegation is invited by North Korea Taekwon-Do Committee. The members of delegation are as following.
